Who we are

Educating and strengthening the healthcare workforce in central Maryland

The Central Maryland Area Health Education Center (CMAHEC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by the Maryland AHEC Program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.

Funded in part by HRSA, CMAHEC focuses on recruiting, training, and retaining a healthcare workforce for medically underserved communities across central Maryland.
